Police arrest man in connection with 2004 attempted murder case
Police arrested a 50-year-old man wanted in connection with an attempted murder case in 2004.
Scott Davenport, who did not give police an address, was arrested at the main police station at 1:15 p.m. Friday. He was charged with second-degree attempted murder and his bail was set at $100,000.
On Sept. 25, 2004, the victim was investigating a noise he heard inside his home and found Davenport and a female inside his front door, according to CrimeStoppers.
Davenport pulled out of a knife and cut the victim’s face, causing a laceration about 4 inches long, the report said. Davenport tried to stab the victim several more times and eventually fled with the female.
