Rainbow Wahine head to MPSF indoor
After a theft held her back from the Rainbow Wahine track and field team’s last trip, senior Zhane Santiago is set to return to Seattle for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Championship.
Santiago missed the Husky Classic two weeks ago when her luggage was stolen the morning of the team’s departure. She’s scheduled to compete in the 60-meter hurdles and long jump in the MPSF meet, which runs Friday and Saturday at the University of Washington’s Dempsey Indoor.
Rachel Toliver set a UH indoor record in the 200 meters in the Husky Classic and will also participate in the 60 meters and triple jump. Alex Porlier Langlois also continues to move up in the UH record book in the shot put and weight throw.
UH will send 15 athletes to the MPSF indoor and will be among 19 women’s teams in the meet, including all of the Pac-12 schools.
