Man caught with another person’s ID card
Police arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of identity theft Sunday after he was found in possession of another person’s identification.
According to police, an officer intervened as the suspect, who does not have a local address, and another man were arguing. The officer instructed the suspect to take his hand out of his pocket, at which point the officer saw a Hawaii state identification card with another person’s photo on it.
A check revealed that the owner of the card did not give the suspect permission to take the card. The suspect was arrested for unauthorized possession of confidential personal information.
