Lifeguards performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation during the trip back to shore. Emergency Medical Services took the man, believed to be about 20, to a hospital.
Police arrest Kaleikini for alleged DUI
Entertainer Danny Kaleikini was arrested late Friday on suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant. He was stopped near the intersection of Kilauea and Pahoa avenues in Kaimuki at about 11:45 p.m.
The man known as Mr. Aloha told KHON-2 reporter Kirk Matthews that he had "one glass too many" of wine.
"I made a mistake," said Kaleikini, 76. "It’s an honest mistake, and I’ve got to pay for it. I’ll gladly pay for it."
He was released on $500 bail.
