We’ll apply the same campaign-season criticism to Lt. Gov. Shan Tsutsui that we did to his boss, Gov. Neil Abercrombie, when the gov recently backed out of three scheduled gubernatorial debates. It’s a disservice to voters — especially undecided ones who benefit from seeing the candidates in face-to-face exchanges — and breaking a string of commitments doesn’t reflect well on any candidate.
