A male bicyclist who was hit by a motorist earlier this month died at the hospital Monday.

Police said the victim, who was in his 60s, was riding on Nuuanu Avenue near Judd Street when he was hit by a car at 10:20 p.m. Feb. 1.

It is unknown if speed or alcohol were factors.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He was not wearing a helmet.

This was Oahu’s 11th traffic death, compared to 10 at the same time a year ago.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine cause of death.
