Amy Blagriff, executive VP of Center of Architecture, stands with a scale model of Kakaako. The three-dimensional model of Kakaako at a scale of 64 feet to the inch was prepared by graduate students at the University of Hawaii School of Architecture to show existing buildings, painted black as well as 29 projects, in natural wood, proposed in the master plans of the Howard Hughes Corp. and Kamehameha Schools and scheduled for construction over the next 10 years, as well as where the proposed rail line will be. This model is now on display at the Center for Architecture on the corner of Fort Street Mall and Queen Street.
