Chaminade romps past Dominican
De’Andre Haskins scored 23 points to lead Chaminade to a 90-63 men’s win over Dominican on Monday in San Rafael, Calif.
Bennie Murray added 20 points for the Silverswords (8-9, 6-3).
Dominique Taplin led the way for the Penguins (8-8, 4-4) with 20 points, and Devin Golston grabbed eight rebounds.
» In the women’s game in San Rafael, Calif., Sarah Nelson scored 15 points to power Dominican past Chaminade 70-54.
Nelson also had 11 rebounds for the Penguins (4-3, 5-10).
Rhani Kaneaiakala had a game-high 18 points for the Silverswords (1-7, 1-12).
Hawaii Pacific tips Academy of Art
Melody Ladrido scored 21 points as the Hawaii Pacific women’s team edged Academy of Art 72-71 on Monday in San Francisco.
Mikela Thoemmes snared nine rebounds, while teammates Ieva Nagy and Chiarra Duncan-Perry each had eight rebounds for the Sea Warriors (10-3, 6-1).
Jordan Rogers scored 20 points for the Urban Knights (12-5, 5-2).
» In the men’s game in San Francisco, Ameer Shamsud-din led five players in double-figure scoring with 24 points and Academy of Art routed Hawaii Pacific 86-56.
Alex Carmon added 15 points for the Urban Knights (5-9, 3-4).
Marko Cukic had a team-high 14 points for the Sea Warriors (6-8, 3-4).
Fresno Pacific drops BYUH men
John Taylor lit up for 37 points and Malcolm Griffin added 30 to lift Fresno Pacific past Brigham Young-Hawaii 93-83 on Monday in Fresno, Calif.
Antonio Credit hauled in 13 rebounds, and Griffin pulled in 12 boards for the Sunbirds (11-6, 6-3).
DeAndre Medlock scored 24 points, and Okesene Ale added 23 for the Seasiders (9-7, 6-2).
Tatupu-Leopoldo is player of the week
Brigham Young-Hawaii sophomore guard Brydgette Tatupu-Leopoldo earned her first player of the week honors of the season after helping the Seasiders go 2-1 last week.
The Farrington High graduate averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.0 steals per game. She hit 18 of 19 free-throw attempts and was 13-for-23 from 3-point range.

» Kirsty Imai, UHH: The senior guard out of Waiakea led the Vulcans to a 3-0 week, scoring 42 points, including six 3-pointers and going 14-for-17 from the free-throw line.
» Melody Larido, HPU: The senior guard scored 25 points, going 10-for-19 from the field, in a 100-81 victory at Holy Names.
» Skye Savini, HPU: The junior forward scored 20 points with 20 rebounds and six blocks as the Sea Warriors went 2-0.
» Mikela Thoemmes, HPU: The junior forward out of Roosevelt helped the Sea Warriors to two wins with 38 points, six steals and nine rebounds.
» Susannah Walmsley, HPU: The senior guard scored 39 points with eight assists, going 6-for-10 from 3-point range and 9-for-11 from the free-throw line.
» Shayla Washington, BYUH: The senior forward scored 72 points, including going 21-for-26 from the line, with 40 rebounds as the Seasiders went 2-1 for the week.
