Opihi seller charged with stealing iPad in Hilo
Hawaii County police charged a Puna man with stealing an iPad.
Police said an man selling opihi went to a Hilo house on May 15. When the resident went into the house to get some cash, the opihi seller waited in the garage.
The resident reported the iPad missing from the garage, police said.
Meanwhile the iPad was sold to another party, and was later recovered by police.
Police learned that the suspect was Dane Correa of Keaau.
After investigating, police arrested Correa on Wednesday and charged him with first-degree burglary and third-degree theft.

His bail was set at $26,000.
He is scheduled to make his first appearance in court Thursday.
