Kauai police still are looking for man wanted for attempted murder
Kauai police are renewing their request for help from the public in finding a 37-year-old homeless man who is wanted for allegedly throwing a Japanese visitor off a cliff in Kalalau Valley in December.
A Kauai grand jury indicted Justin Wynn Klein in December on a charge of attempted murder.
Police have followed up on numerous tips since the incident occurred, but he searches have failed to turn up any sign of the suspect.
Incoming tips have dwindled in recent weeks, police said.
On Dec. 16, a witness reported seeing Klein allegedly throw a 31-year-old Japanese woman from a cliff in Kalalau Valley. She was in critical condition, and has since been released from the hospital and returned home.
Klein is described as Caucasian, 6 feet 1 inch tall, with brown hair in a Mohawk style, possibly wearing a mustache and beard, a band tattoo around his left arm.
