Reardon to speak at QB Club
Honolulu Star-Advertiser sports columnist Dave Reardon is the guest speaker for Monday’s Honolulu Quarterback Club luncheon.
A Pearl City alumnus, Reardon started writing for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin in 1981. He will discuss the collegiate career and future of Marcus Mariota and the latest on the on-going investigation of the University of Hawaii basketball team, and will review the UH football team’s season.
The Honolulu Quarterback Club meets at the Maple Garden restaurant at 909 Isenberg St.
The event, which is open to the general public, begins with an 11:30 a.m. lunch. The program starts at noon. The cost is $15 for members
Hawaii tennis team beats Pacific again
For the second straight day, the University of Hawaii men’s tennis team beat Pacific 4-3 on Sunday at the UH Tennis Complex.
The ‘Bows (2-1) won the doubles point behind the victories at No. 2 (Felix Albert and Chas Okamoto) and No. 1 (Kai Wehnelt and Marcel Chan).
Three of the first four singles matches went to the Tigers, and then Hawaii came from behind to win the final three singles matches, with Albert taking his singles match in the third set to complete UH’s comeback victory.
Hawaii travels to play at Seattle on Wednesday and then at Washington on Thursday before heading south to take on San Diego on Saturday.
