McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii gave $22,000 to University of Hawaii football head coach Norm Chow, UH athletic director John McNamara and Na Koa Executive Director Kim Fujiuchi — proceeds from the "Big Mac Monday" promotion, which ran during the 2013 football season.
During the promotion, McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii donated $500 for every touchdown made by the UH Warriors. The Warriors scored 44 touchdowns, which generated $22,000 for the athletic department.
"We’re pleased to continue this partnership with the University of Hawaii athletics department and support Norm Chow and his Rainbow Warriors," said Erlinda Rosario, president of the Golden Arches Merchant Association.
