Witness of December robbery spots suspect near scene of crime
A witness who tried to stop a purse snatcher at a North School Street restaurant in December spotted the man near the scene of the crime Monday and called police.
Police arrested the 28-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and for outstanding warrants.
Police said on Dec. 27, a woman was eating dinner at a restaurant and the man grabbed her purse, which was on a chair next to her.
The witness tried to stop him, but the suspect used physical force and fled the scene with the purse.
