Hawaii 4th in millionaire households per capita
Hawaii has the fourth-highest number of millionaires per-capita in the U.S., according to a new study.
The just-released Phoenix Global Wealth Monitor shows that stable economic growth helped Hawaii maintain its ranking, according to lead researcher David Thompson.
The report’s data shows 32,829 Hawaii households with $1 million or more in investable assets, for a ratio of 6.93 millionaires to the total household count.
Maryland tops the ranking with a ratio of 7.67 millionaires to its state total, while second-ranked Connecticut’s ratio is 7.23 percent, and third-ranked New Jersey’s ratio is 7.14 percent to its own household total.
