Authorities charged a 29-year-old Waipahu man in the stabbing of another man in a fight on Sunday night at the Pearl Ridge Community Park.

Benedicto Ceasar was charged Tuesday with second-degree attempted murder. His bail was set at $50,000.

Police said the incident occurred at 8:45 p.m.

An ambulance took the victim, a 28-year-old man, to the hospital in serious condition with stab wounds to the chest, police reported.

Police also arrested Ceasar’s 31-year-old brother, who drove the suspect away from the crime scene. Ceasar’s brother was not charged in the stabbing.
