Earthquake off Molokai poses no tsunami threat
A minor earthquake off Molokai Friday afternoon poses no tsunami danger to Hawaii, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
The magnitude-4.1 quake struck 9 miles north-northwest of Kualapu’u 4:42 p.m. at a depth of 5.5 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
No injuries were reported.
