Police searching for missing Hilo man
Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s help in their search for a missing 57-year-old man.
Sandy Phaylim was last seen at his Hilo home at about 6:15 a.m. Monday. Police said he has a medical condition that requires medication, according to a news release.
Phaylim is described as 5 feet, 11 inches, 250 pounds with brown eyes and black-and-white hair. He has several tattoos: a leaf on his upper left arm, the words “PEACE” and “LOVE” on his lower arm, the word “JOB” on his right thigh and the word “CORB” on his left thigh.
Police said he was last seen wearing a fluorescent, green dry-fit T-shirt and multi-colored shorts. He was not wearing shoes and walks with a slight limp.
