California-based Universal Protection Service has acquired Kiamalu Consulting & Investigations Agency of Kapolei.

The local company has been providing confidential investigations and consulting services throughout Hawaii and the world, according to a statement by Universal.

The CEO of Universal parent company Universal Services of America, Steve Jones, called the acquisition “strategic,” adding that “it allowed us to add an extremely talented senior level manager, Kenny Chang, to our already strong management team in Hawaii.”

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
