Huskies take lead in Amer Ari Invitational

University of Hawaii Hilo is 18th and UH tied for 19th after the second round of the Amer Ari Invitational at Waikoloa Kings’ Course on Thursday on Hawaii island.

Washington jumped from fourth to take the team lead at 21-under 555. First-day co-leader UCLA is second at 19-under 557, with Texas third at 562.

Texas’ Cody Gribble (68) and UCLA’s Pontus Widegren (69) are tied for first at 7-under 137. Six others are tied at 6 under.

Corey Kozuma (75) of UHH and Nainoa Calip (72) of UH are tied for 55th at 2-over 146.
