Fort Shafter offramps reopened after police investigate report of unexploded ordnance
Honolulu police have reopened the Moanalua Freeway offramps to Fort Shafter as of 4:49 p.m. Wednesday, after a report of a suspected unexploded ordnance.
Police had closed the east- and west-bound offramps for about 30 minutes during their investigation.
A projectile found by a contractor near Shafter’s front gate was determined to be hollow and unarmed, according to the Army.
