BYUH women defeat Hawaii Hilo in OT

Celeste Claw scored 21 points, including the final five of overtime, and Brydgette Tatupu-Leopoldo finished with 16 points as the Brigham Young-Hawaii women’s basketball team beat Hawaii-Hilo 65-59 in a Pacific West Conference game Saturday at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.

Claw and Tatupu-Leopoldo each made three 3-pointers and Mata Tonga grabbed 11 rebounds for the Seasiders (4-2, 2-1 PacWest).

Kristie Williams scored 17 points for the Vulcans (2-6, 1-3).

Hilo’s Jordan Kealoha missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the game into overtime tied at 58-58.
