Obama, Biden to speak at cathedral service for Inouye
WASHINGTON >> The White House says President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will speak at Friday’s funeral service for Sen. Daniel Inouye of Hawaii.
Services for the longtime Democratic senator are scheduled for Washington National Cathedral. Inouye died Monday of respiratory complications. He was 88.
Today, colleagues and aides lined the Capitol rotunda five-deep to say farewell as Inouye’s casket rested beneath the dome.
Inouye was the second-longest serving senator in U.S. history. His body will be returned to Hawaii on Saturday.
