President Obama mixed a little business with pleasure on his 14th day of vacation in Hawaii, hitting the golf course after a morning workout and signing an executive order that imposed new sanctions on North Korea.

Obama also phoned Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid on Friday to wish him well, the White House said. Reid broke several ribs and facial bones when a piece of exercise equipment snapped at his Nevada home Thursday, causing the lawmaker to fall.

The president’s motorcade arrived at Marine Corps Base Hawaii at about 10:20 a.m. Obama is apparently trying to get a round in at the Kaneohe Klipper course before the heavy rains forecast for Friday afternoon and evening.

Punahou school friends Bobby Titcomb and Mike Ramos joined Obama, along with a new partner identified as Darrell Harrington.

Earlier in the morning, Obama went for his usual morning workout at the base at about 7:40 a.m. and returned at about 9:12 a.m.

The president is winding down his vacation. Obama and his family will return to Washington this weekend.
