Woman in critical after mo-ped crash at Diamond Head Road

A woman in her 50s was taken to the hospital in critical condition just after noon Tuesday after the moped she was driving collided with a car in the Diamond Head area.
The accident occurred at 12:18 p.m. in the 3500 block of Diamond Head Road near the Diamond Head Lookout, police said.
The woman, a visitor from Vista, Calif., lost control and crashed into oncoming traffic, police said.
