Correction

» The photo accompanying "Ocean Watch" on Page A2 Monday showed a kolea, not a sanderling as stated in the caption.

Clarifications

» Lilly Geyer, who is being sued in connection with the death of toddler Finley Boyle, is licensed as a general dentist in Hawaii. A Page A1 photo caption Sunday implied that Geyer is a pediatric dentist; however, it is not clear whether she has earned that specialist designation. As the article reported, Geyer is not a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and her lawyer will not discuss her credentials.

» "The Big Q" poll question on easing Oahu’s fireworks ban garnered 2,770 responses. The poll results on Page A2 Monday omitted the number of responses.

» Volunteer groups supporting the city’s smoking ban at beach parks produced posters for the city in a public education campaign, but city employees posted them. A Page A8 editorial Monday indicated the groups posted the materials.
