Road work to close part of Farrington Highway starting today

Farrington Highway lanes will be closed starting today as a Board of Water Supply contractor repaves the road near the Waianae Satellite City Hall.

Traffic will be contraflowed when the Makaha-bound lanes of the highway are closed from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, the Board of Water Supply said.

Motorists are advised to please use caution while driving through the work areas and to allow for extra travel time. Special duty police officers will direct traffic around the area.

The road repaving work is being done to repair a section of Farrington Highway where a water main broke in November.
