Bailey surpasses 1,000 points in loss
Chaminade junior Lee Bailey broke the 1,000-point mark in Saturday’s 84-83 overtime loss to Dominican (Calif.) in a Pacific West Conference men’s basketball game in San Rafael, Calif.
Devin Golston scored 18 points and hit the game-winning basket with 11 seconds left in overtime for the Penguins (13-7, 7-5). Bailey led the Silverswords (12-7, 9-2) with 22 and now has 1,018 career points.
» Pablo Coro scored 26 points to help the Brigham Young-Hawaii men to a 112-107 overtime win over Academy of Art in San Francisco. Coro made all eight of his free throws in overtime and finished 15-for-17 from the line. Scott Friel had 23 points and 15 rebounds, and DeAndre Medlock scored 21 points for BYUH (9-8, 7-4). Alexis Moore scored 31 points and Alex Carmon scored 18 points for the Urban Knights (4-14, 2-9).
