Repairs planned for Kahana Valley park
The state this month will begin a eight-month $455,000 project to fix the comfort station and visitor orientation building in Kahana Valley in Windward Oahu.
The improvements will include new fixtures and partitions, flooring repairs, electrical and roofing work at the visitor orientation building and adjacent comfort station, as well as installation of rain gutters, parking and accessibility features at the Ahupuaa o Kahana State Park.
The state park is located between Kaneohe and Laie, 26 miles from Honolulu.
Portable toilets will be provided during the closures.
