Hawaii's Christian Standhardinger now has four career weekly Big West awards in two seasons.

Hawaii basketball senior forward Christian Standhardinger was named Big West Player of the Week for the second time this season after helping the Rainbow Warriors to a pair of road victories on Thursday and Saturday.

Standhardinger averaged 18.5 points and 11 rebounds as UH (18-7, 7-4 Big West) extended its streak of road victories to four, a new program record in conference games.

He had 27 points and 13 rebounds, his eighth double-double of the season, in UH’s 87-76 win at UC Riverside on Thursday. He was quieter in an 83-80 thriller at Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, but still managed to collect 10 points and nine rebounds.

Standhardinger, who needs 57 points to become the program’s 16th 1,000-point scorer, now has four career weekly Big West awards in two seasons. A total of four have gone out to UH players this season — Brandon Spearman and Keith Shamburger received one apiece.

UH hosts league leader UC Irvine (17-9, 8-2) on Thursday in a key matchup.
