Elizabeth Borge of Hauula and her husband, Anthony, were surprised to find Toast Hawaii on the menu of a restaurant during their trip to Germany last month. The Borges were told the dish consists of baked toast with ham, cheese and scalloped pineapple, and garnished with cranberries. “Hawaii is alive and well on the Rhine River,” Borge said.
