Maui boy accidentally shoots himself in leg
A 12-year-old Kula boy accidentally shot himself in the leg this morning with a .22 caliber rifle but did not sustain life-threatening injuries, according to a Maui County Fire Department report.
Maui Fire Department spokesman Lt. William Juan said the boy was taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center after the 10:25 a.m. incident and has already been treated and released.
No other details were made available.
