I’m innocent, pedestrian says of attack
A 66-year-old Kalihi Valley man entered a plea of not guilty Monday to attacking a driver whom he claimed tried to hit him while he was in a crosswalk.
Moses Solomon was charged Nov. 26 with unlawfully entering a car and striking the driver. He is being held at Oahu Community Correctional Center because he is unable to post bail of $25,000.
His trial is set to begin the week of Feb. 4 before Circuit Judge Rom Trader.
The incident occurred at 11:50 a.m. Nov. 25 as the suspect crossed North School Street in a marked crosswalk. A 20-year-old woman almost hit Solomon with her car, and the two exchanged expletives, at which point Solomon hit the woman, police said.
