Slightly warmer nights expected as winds shift
Temperatures will warm, just a little bit, Friday night as a cold front approaches and changes the wind direction from cooler northerly winds to warmer southwesterly winds through tonight.
The National Weather Service says the weather will still be cool and dry, but temperatures in many areas may only go into the low 60s rather than the 50s.
The latest cold front is expected to move over the state on Sunday, bringing mostly cloudy skies with occasional showers on Kauai, Oahu and Maui County.
The front is expected to stall near Maui and Monday and Tuesday could see more rain and a slight chance of thunderstorms.
