Police to Eugene partiers: Keep it under control Monday
EUGENE, Ore. >> The Eugene police have issued a warning of more than 1,600 words that urges Ducks fans to keep their parties under control Monday when the University of Oregon and Ohio State clash for the national championship of college football.
Among the advice:
— Don’t serve alcohol to people under 21.
— If the police come to the door, make sure that whoever greets them is sober.
— If officers warn that tear gas is coming, get far away fast.
The university city is noted for rowdy parties.

Two years ago, the city tried to crack down with party patrols enforcing an ordinance that holds hosts responsible, with fines up to $1,000, for parties that feature drinking and two or more crimes such as noise disturbance, assault or littering.
