WAIKIKI PARC CELEBRATES ITS 25th | 1. Halekulani Corp. Vice President (Branding) Patricia Tam, left, Chief Operating Officer Peter Shaindlin and Waikiki Parc Hotel General Manager Julie Arigo surveyed the crowd at a reception commemorating the hotel's 25th anniversary Nov. 20 at Nobu Waikiki. Waiters carried trays filled with Nobu delicacies while costumed members of the Iona Contemporary Dance Theatre moved through the crowd interacting with guests. Each guest was given a shiny, uncirculated 2008 Hawaii quarter on arrival, the 25 cents representing the hotel's 25 years, so they could make a wish and toss the coin into a wishing pool. Many kept the collector's item and used another coin when making their wish.
