Kauai man arrested after driving into utility pole
A Kilauea man was arrested for drunk driving after he crashed his pick up truck into a utility pole Friday night, Kauai police said.
The driver of the Dodge pickup truck was heading south on Anini Road around 7 p.m. when he hit the pole and severed it, police said.
Anini Road was closed for roughly eight hours while utility crews worked to replace the damaged pole.
The driver was not injured.
