Pair of hikers rescued from Kuliouou Ridge Trail
Rescuers airlifted a man and woman in their 60s from the Kuliouou Ridge Trail area Sunday morning after the couple got lost, a Honolulu Fire Department spokesman said.
The two got about a mile off trail and were unable to find their way back, fire inspector David Jenkins said.
The uninjured couple called for help around 11:20 a.m. They were airlifted using the department’s rescue helicopter and dropped off at the trail head, Jenkins said. No medical attention was needed.
