Hawaii County police and deputy sheriffs have apprehended one of "Hawaii Island’s Most Wanted," a 29-year-old man who eluded law enforcement for more than two years.

Deputies from the Sheriff Division assisted police in arresting Albert Manners at 12:22 p.m. Thursday at an Ainaloa subdivision home in Puna.

He was charged with first-degree bail jumping and four counts of contempt of court. He is being held without bail until his initial court appearance scheduled for Friday.

Manners was featured in November 2012 on "Hawaii Island’s Most Wanted," a Crimestoppers TV program.

Manners was wanted on three bench warrants. He was wanted on a $15,000 contempt of court warrant for failing to appear in court for a hearing on eight criminal charges, including assaulting a police officer and driving under the influence. He was also wanted on no-bail warrants for violating the terms of release in an assault case and a domestic abuse case.
