OCCC inmate, up for parole, arrested after escape
A 31-year-old Oahu Community Correctional Center inmate, who is serving time on several drug related charges, was arrested for escape after failing to return Friday while a job-seeking work furlough pass.
Wilbert Torno left the prison at noon on Friday and was supposed to return at 5 p.m. the same day.
Torno returned to the prison Monday night and arrested by police on suspicion of second-degree escape.
He was scheduled for a parole hearing in May.
