The opening date for Las Vegas’ next major resort has been announced. SLS, on the far north end of the Strip and formally the Sahara, will debut on Labor Day weekend. The 1,620-room boutique hotel-casino will feature two nightclubs, a shopping component and several high-end restaurants, including The Bazaar by Jose Andres, Katsuya by Starck, Umami Burger, The Griddle and Cleo.
Parts of the Sahara, which closed in 2011, still remain; however, they’ve been completely renovated and re-branded to accommodate the new design.
