Get skin checked for cancer at clinic
Skin cancers found early and removed are almost always curable, so Windward Medispa and Vein Center is offering complimentary skin cancer screenings through Sunday. Call 261-8346 to make an appointment.
The medispa is at 25 Maluniu Ave., Suite 202, in Kailua.
Dream catcher class is available at Ward
Set your 2015 dreams in motion during a dream catcher workshop at Chai Studio at Ward Warehouse on Sunday.
The dream catcher is a Native American symbol of protection. When hung near or over one’s bed, the hoop is said to catch dreams as they flow by. Good dreams pass through easily, while nightmares get tangled and trapped, dissipating with the first light of day.
Dream catchers are often made as gifts for children, grandchildren or as a baby shower gift to protect little ones from bad dreams.
The hoops are decorated with a net and such talismans as feathers and beads. Learn to make a jumbo dream catcher at 11 a.m. (cost: $75) or a smaller dream catcher at 2 p.m. (cost: $25).
For reservations, call 536-4543.
