Woman allegedly demands ransom for man’s car
Undercover officers arrested a 21-year-old woman Friday night in Ewa Beach after she allegedly refused to return a man’s car if he didn’t pay her, police said.
A 54-year-old man called police late Friday afternoon to report that he let the woman use his car, and she demanded money before giving it back.
The man arranged to meet up with the woman, and undercover police arrested her around 11:40 p.m. on suspicion of second-degree theft and first-degree extortion.
