Better weather returns to Hawaii
Expect trade winds to return and clear skies today as unstable weather conditions that brought heavy showers to the islands Friday moves away from the state.
National Weather Service forecasters say winds will still be light and some showers could still develop in the afternoon because of daytime heating. But they do not expect the stormy weather we saw Friday.
Stronger trade winds should return to the islands starting Sunday night, along with the remnants of a cold front that could bring an increased chance of clouds and showers.
