UH women’s basketball team defeats Oregon
Kamilah Jackson scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the Hawaii women’s basketball team over Oregon, 85-73, tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Coming off consecutive 42-point outings in losses vs. powerhouses Baylor and Stanford, UH scored its most points since putting up 85 against Lipscomb exactly five years ago.
Junior forward Vicky Tagalicod added 17 points in 17 minutes off the bench and freshman wing Ashleigh Karaitiana had her first career double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.
UH (2-3) continues the Waikiki Beach Marriott Rainbow Wahine Showdown against Arkansas (3-1) on Saturday at noon. Oregon of the Pac-12 fell to 0-3.
