A federal jury found a man who paid $400 for a law enforcement pistol, body armor vest and other tactical gear guilty of possessing a stolen firearm, receiving stolen government property and of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The jury returned its verdicts against Larry Lee on Nov. 16.

Another man, Kevin Agno, had previously admitted that he and an accomplice broke into the vehicle of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement investigator and stole the Homeland Security Investigations special agent’s service weapon and tactical gear.

Agno also admitted, in a plea deal with the prosecutor, that he sold to Lee the pistol, four loaded magazines, holster, two handcuffs, radio and vest and jacket — the latter two items with "POLICE" and "ICE" in bold letters.

The government said the radio alone is worth $4,500.

Agno faces sentencing next month for possessing a selling a stolen firearm and for aiding and abetting the theft of government property.

Lee will be sentenced in March. He has state drug and burglary convictions.
