Alphabet books have a new look
BeachHouse Publishing has re-released two of its popular alphabet-themed titles in a bookshelf-friendly 8-inch-by-9-inch format.
"G is for Gecko," ($12.95) illustrated by Don Robinson and first released in 2006, follows the adventures of a gecko from "A is for the Auntie that shoos him away" to "Z is for the zori gecko curls on to nap."
"S Went Surfing," ($12.95) illustrated by Ruth Moen and originally published in 2004, is the story of what each letter does on a holiday from school. Each letter gets its own page, but S’s surfing adventure sneaks into several other letters’ excursions. The alliterative tale ends with all the letters gathering for a luau, except for S, who is still surfing.
