>> Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o (Punahou ’09) made six tackles and receiver Robby Toma (Punahou ’09) had two catches for 37 yards in their final home game as the Fighting Irish beat Wake Forest 38-0 on Saturday. Te’o is tied for second in the FBS with six interceptions and has a team-high 98 tackles. He’s a finalist for the Maxwell, Bednarik, Bronko Nagurski and Lombardi awards and is a semifinalist for the Butkus Award.
>> Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota (Saint Louis ’11) was 21-for-37 for 207 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 89 yards on 12 carries in a 17-14 overtime loss to Stanford on Saturday. Freshman defensive end DeForest Buckner (Punahou ’12) assisted on two tackles, including one for a loss, for the Ducks.
>> UCLA safety Dalton Hilliard (Punahou ’09) made two tackles and kicker Ka‘imi Fairbairn (Punahou ’12) made a 23-yard field goal and converted all five extra-point attempts in a 38-28 win over Southern Cal on Saturday. The Bruins clinched the Pac-12 South division title with the win.
>> Navy safety Wave Ryder (Kamehameha ’10) made six tackles in a 21-10 win over Texas State on Saturday.
>> Washington State linebacker Cyrus Coen (Pearl City ’11) made four of his seven tackles for losses and added a sack in a 46-7 loss to Arizona State on Saturday. Safety Tyler Taliulu (Kamehameha ’12) assisted on three tackles, and Chester Sua (Kaimuki ’11) assisted on one for the Cougars.
>> Boise State safety Jeremy Ioane (Punahou ’10) made four tackles in a 42-14 win over Colorado State on Saturday.
>> Idaho linebacker Robert Siavii (Leilehua ’08) made six tackles, and Solomon Dixon (McKinley ’11) added one solo tackle in a 34-27 loss to Texas-San Antonio on Saturday.
>> Washington linebacker Taz Stevenson (Mililani ’10) made two solo tackles and senior lineman Semisi Tokolahi (Hilo ’09) added one in a 38-3 win over Colorado on Saturday. Sophomore linebacker K.T. Tuumalo (Punahou ’11) made one tackle, and Juda Parker (Saint Louis ’11) was credited with a quarterback hurry for the Buffaloes.
>> Oregon State defensive tackle Castro Masaniai (Waipahu ’07) assisted on three tackles, including one for a loss, and junior Mana Rosa (Baldwin ’09) assisted on two tackles for the Beavers in a 62-14 win over California on Saturday. Devon Kell (Hilo ’09) added a solo tackle for Oregon State, while defensive tackle Aaron Tipoti (Word of Life ’08) made seven tackles for the Golden Bears.
>> Utah State safety Brian Suite (Punahou ’10) made seven solo tackles in a 48-41 overtime win over Louisiana Tech on Saturday to clinch a share of the Western Athletic Conference title.
>> Utah linebacker V.J. Fehoko (Farrington ’10) made four tackles, including one for a loss, in a 34-24 loss to Arizona on Saturday.
>> Weber State quarterback Mike Hoke (Kamehameha ’08) went 10-for-16 for 106 yards and a touchdown and rushed 14 times for 35 yards and another score in a 40-14 win over Idaho State in the Wildcats’ final game of the season. Junior Kela Marciel (‘Iolani ’09) added three tackles and an interception, and Jake Kahawaii (Kahuku ’06) made a solo tackle for Weber State.
>> Defensive end KeAlii Poomaihealani (Saint Louis ’10) of Linfield (Ore.) made two tackles for losses, including a sack, and forced two fumbles to lead the Wildcats to a 27-24 win over Pacific Lutheran (Wash.) in the first round of the NCAA Division III playoffs Saturday. Defensive back Sean McFadden (Punahou ’10) made six tackles and forced a fumble for the Lutes.
>> Cornell (Iowa) College linebacker Geoffrey Miller (Punahou ’10) was named to the All-Midwestern Conference second team last Wednesday. Miller led the Rams with 111 total tackles, three interceptions, six pass breakups and five quarterback hurries. He ranked second in the conference and 23rd in Division III with 11.1 tackles per game.

>> Air Force senior Zane Dydasco (Kamehameha ’08) started at forward and played 82 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Washington in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Thursday.
>> McMurry (Texas) University senior Colin Lund (Mililani ’08) scored his third goal in two games to ignite a rally as the War Hawks defeated Central Christian 3-2 on Saturday in the NCCAA Central Regional championship. McMurry will play in the NCAA national tournament starting Nov. 29.

>> UCLA sophomore forward Caprice Dydasco (Kamehameha ’11) played all 90 minutes and finished with one shot attempt and an assist in a 3-0 win over San Diego State on Sunday to advance to the elite eight of the NCAA tournament.
>> Penn State junior Tani Costa (Kalani ’09) attempted two shots on goal in 41 minutes off the bench and made one of three penalty kicks by the Nittany Lions in a shootout to rally from a 2-0 deficit to beat Michigan to advance to the elite eight of the NCAA tournament.
>> Santa Clara senior Meleana Shim (Kamehameha ’09) played 90 minutes and attempted one shot on goal in a 2-1 loss to Stanford in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Friday.
>> Cal Baptist junior Rosie Nakata (Mililani ’10) was named the PacWest goalie of the year on Thursday. Nakata recorded five shutouts this season and allowed 0.80 goals per game in 15 starts. She made 42 saves to finish with an .808 save percentage. Lancers defender Mikala Gillis (Sacred Hearts ’11) was also named to the All-PacWest second team.
>> Harvard senior Aisha Price (Punahou ’09) has been chosen to play in the NEWISA Senior Bowl on
Dec. 2 in North Andover, Mass. Price played in all 17 games for the Crimson her senior season, tying for the team lead with five assists. She also scored a goal in a win over Colgate on Sept. 9 and assisted on the game-winner in the final seconds against Columbia on Nov. 3.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
>> UTEP junior setter Malia Patterson (Punahou ’10) was named to the All-Conference USA second team last Tuesday. Patterson played in all 28 matches and was second in the conference with 1,143 assists.
>> Hofstra senior Kylee Maneja (Sacred Hearts ’09) had a team-high 17 digs to lead the Pride to a five-set victory over two-time defending champion Delaware to win the Colonial Athletic Association tournament Sunday. Maneja was selected to the all-tournament team as the Pride clinched the automatic berth into the NCAA Division I tournament. Sophomore Kainoa Ocasek (University ’11) also played for Hofstra and finished with 23 assists, 14 digs and two aces.
>> Texas Pan-American senior libero Juri Franzen (McKinley ’09) and junior setter Nycole Masaki (Kailua ’10) earned second-team All-Great West Conference honors on Thursday. Masaki and freshman middle Haley Durham (Kaiser ’12) were named to the all-newcomer team.
>> Albany (N.Y.) senior setter Gabby Whitworth (Kalaheo ’09) was named to the All-America East Conference first team last week. Whitworth, who converted to setter for her senior year, averaged 11.03 assists, 1.18 kills and 1.35 digs per set in the regular season.
>> New Haven (Conn.) freshman Kea-Marie Olaso (Le Jardin ’12) had a match-high 30 digs and five assists, and sophomore Kaulana Ane (Kamehameha-Maui ’11) had 39 assists, 14 digs, six kills and two aces in a four-set victory over Adelphi on Saturday to win the Northeast-10 Conference championship.
>> Air Force sophomore middle Ayesha Hein (St. Andrew’s Priory ’10) had five kills, three blocks and a dig in a three-set loss to Wyoming on Saturday.

>> La Verne (Calif.) sophomore guard Jourdan Simmonds (‘Iolani ’11) was 8-for-13 from the field and hit six 3-pointers to finish with a career-high 24 points, two assists and two rebounds in a 56-52 win over Willamette (Ore.) on Friday.
>> Baruch (N.Y.) College guard Matt Feldman (Punahou ’10) had four points, three assists, two steals and a rebound in 10 minutes off the bench of a 72-55 win over York (Pa.) on Friday.
>> Notre Dame de Namur sophomore guard Micah Dunhour (Academy of the Pacific ’11) finished with seven points, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks in a 73-51 loss to Western Oregon on Friday.

>> Washington State freshman guard Lia Galdeira (Konawaena ’12) had 15 points, six steals and four rebounds, and Dawnyelle Awa (Konawaena ’12) had two points, two rebounds and two steals in a 52-44 loss to Wisconsin on Sunday.
>> Gonzaga sophomore guard Maiki Viela (Lahainaluna ’11) played 14 minutes off the bench and scored a career-high seven points on 3-for-4 shooting in the second half of a 77-51 win over Monmouth on Sunday.
>> Utah State senior guard Pualei Furtado (Kamehameha ’09) had six points, three rebounds and an assist in 17 minutes off the bench of a 98-91 loss to Loyola Marymount on Saturday.
>> Pacific (Ore.) forward Anuhea Wall (Konawaena ’11) was 3-for-5 from the field and had seven points, three rebounds and two assists in 18 minutes off the bench of a 78-30 win over Walla Walla (Wash.) on Thursday.
MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
>> Colorado freshman Pierce Murphy (Island School ’11) finished 45th in the 10-kilometer run at the NCAA Division I championships on Saturday in a time of 30 minutes, 11.8 seconds to help the Buffaloes place third overall.
