2 small quakes shake the Big Island
Two small earthquakes shook the west and southeast sides of Hawaii island overnight.
An earthquake with an initial magnitude of 3.2, struck just after 3 a.m., 7 miles west-southwest of Waikoloa and 19 miles north-northeast of Kailua-Kona, and at a depth of about 26 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The Big Island experienced another small earthquake Monday night. The magnitude 3.1 earthquake struck at about 10:09 p.m. about 10 miles northeast of Hawaiian Ocean View and about 39 miles southeast of Kailua-Kona at a depth of about .3 miles.
