Alpert plays Blaisdell
Jimmy Borges, left, went backstage to talk with multi-Grammy Award winner Herb Alpert after Alpert and his wife, Lani Hall, played a benefit concert for Damien Memorial School Saturday in the Blaisdell Concert Hall. Alpert and Hall covered everything from their first hits in the 1960s to their work together on Alpert’s recently released album, “In the Mood.”
