Police officers assaulted in separate cases
Police said two officers were assaulted in separate incidents Friday and Saturday.
Police arrested and charged a 30-year-old man, with no local address, with assaulting a police officer near Pokai Bay in Waianae on Saturday afternoon at about 4 p.m., according to police records. The suspect was also arrested for alleged harassment. Bail was set at $25,000.
In another incident, police said a 47-year-old man assaulted an officer who responded to the scene of an argument in Wahiawa at about 10:40 p.m. Friday. The suspect was released, pending further investigation, early Saturday.
Man charged with terroristic threatening
A 42-year-old Salt Lake man who allegedly threatened a 77-year-old man with a dangerous instrument in Kalihi has been charged.
Police said the incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. Friday. Officers arrested Daren Desa at his Salt Lake apartment at 3:10 p.m. Desa was charged Saturday with first-degree terroristic threatening. Bail was set at $30,000.
